As the first manufacturer to offer a dish that was produced with German professional expertise in Nigeria in early 1992, Comden has become widely respected among international corporations and organizations, retailers as well as resellers. As a result of the company’s consistent high standards, our manufacturing facilities have been approved by Deutsche Welle and the German Ministry for Economic Collaboration and Development to implement a development-aid project in the media by supplying various Nigerian broadcasting stations with satellite systems.

As part of our philosophy, one of our core values is to focus on the well-being of our staff and the wider physical and social environment in which we operate in. We respect different cultures and we are aware that working conditions vary between countries. However we have certain fundamental requirements and these include ensuring that a safe working place, with protection against noise, dust and dangerous machinery exists and our employees shall be treated fairly and well. Child labor is still unfortunately a part of Nigeria's contemporary reality, but Comden will not accept even the slightest insinuation of such activities from our suppliers our in and around our premises. In the past decade we increasingly became aware of the ongoing climate change, not only in Northern Nigeria, but on a global scale and realized that we can also play a part in mitigating it.

Vocational Training

Comden has always made certain, that our employees undergo special educational programs to expand their capabilities. Our apprenticeship system made sure to offer a young Nigerian generation the option to become skilled crafts practitioners. Those that stayed with us have received further vocational education (following the German model). Furthermore all our personnel have advanced experience in using several MS Office applications as well as the Internet. In this respect the entire Comden team has participated in developing the integrated SME database system that is now the core of our organization. In this environment this may be considered an outstanding achievement and we are very, very proud of them!
